Anonymous, 5 hours ago60Hz is 60Hz, 120Hz is 120Hz. There's no such thing as 60Hz on iPhone feels like 90Hz let... more That's not entirely true. While you can't do anything about the sharpness of moving objects during motion, you can tune scroll animations in such a way that they give impression they are moving smoother than they actually are. And Apple is master in doing that. It's why some people complain their animations are too long. Try scrolling settings menu on Android. It'll scroll and then almost instantly stop after a very short glide animation, looking all jarring and terrible. Where on iOS, scroll settings menu makes it go fast and then it decelerates quickly and keeps on slightly gliding until full stop. That minor change at the end gives the perception of better smoothness. And it's the opposite on all the cheap phones with 90 or even 120Hz displays. What's high refresh good for if anything ever stutters just once. I don't ever experience a single stutter. Ever. And menus always glide in this super smooth way. So, smoothness is there, I just don't have as sharp image during motion. But since I don't read text during scrolling motion, I hardly care. I read or view whatever when scrolling is stopped. Which is why I don't particularly care in having 90 or 120Hz. It'll be nice when it becomes a standard across all iPhones, but I just don't care. And same can be said for Android phones because 90% of them have terrible execution of it with refresh rates being all over the place with fixed values or worse, only being able to pick between fixed 60Hz or fixed 120Hz. That's the most terrible way of doing it. Here, you have the awesome specs, now suffer worse battery. Or worse smoothness. Pick one, but you always have to go in menu for it. Yay. I only have 60Hz and I'm fine with it. Knowing I'd have 120Hz available, but with bunch of disadvantages would just annoy me super hard.

Anonymous, 22 hours agoWell you may have never denied that and I'm not talking about just you in particular, but... more 60Hz is 60Hz, 120Hz is 120Hz. There's no such thing as 60Hz on iPhone feels like 90Hz let alone 120Hz

Anonymous, 14 hours ago This phone is inferior to android flagships from 2020 Battery life and performance? I guess not

Anonymous, 14 hours ago This phone is inferior to android flagships from 2020 Wish you luck in getting software updates for your superior phone next year lol

Rocco202, 17 hours agoImagine how st....d ppl.are to buy over and over same.thing and how deluded ppl are to buy and... more Imagine saying how people are stupid to buy same every year and then put Samsung as some sort of example lol. Progression of their Galaxy S models is literally the same as iPhones. Just in slightly different manner. I wouldn't even put Chinese brands as an example, they just spam market with bunch of phones and they always make them totally different just so they can spam them even more and confuse even more users. Their buyer demographic is so wildly different than Apple's focused "keep the existing crowd around and make sure they remain our customers". Do you think any Chinese brand cares about any of that? If they did, they wouldn't be spamming billion phones every year with next to zero software support because who's going to make software for all the phones they spammed to market? But it's important that Motorola has some "projector" display since 2010. Except literally absolutely no one cares about it. But it's a "projector" display lol

Imagine how st....d ppl.are to buy over and over same.thing and how deluded ppl are to buy and be decived.with same.thing When samsung.is 8 years ahead ... let alone Motorola with projector screen since early 2010s

UltraHD, 08 Oct 2022It's definitely not worth the price in my opinion, it's 1300€ in my country which is... more For real, the 14 Plus has the worst value out of all iPhone 14s. For price of top of the line Android flagships you get inferior screen, inferior cameras, inferior basically everything except performance which you won't notice unless you are hardcore gamer and battery life. Vanilla 14s only exit to push customers towards the 14 Pro and Pro Max which actually are worth buying in some regions (in my country it's literally almost twice as much as S22U so it's not worth it)

Anonymous, 22 hours agoWell you may have never denied that and I'm not talking about just you in particular, but... more Smoothness wise, most certainly. Display just won't be as sharp during motion. It's the way how Apple animates scrolling and stuff. The way how everything glides and slowly goes to a full stop is just so smooth and feels nice even if it's at just 60Hz. I think they mean that.

A lot of them often claim 60hz to be as good as 90hz or even 120 on other phones. That might be true upto an extent, because apple optimisations but after that, it becomes essential to have the better hardware

But I wouldn’t ever claim that because phone doesn’t have high refresh rate, it’s the useless. It’s not. Or claim it should cost 400€ less because it’s still 60Hz. Display isn’t only thing and everything.

It's definitely not worth the price in my opinion, it's 1300€ in my country which is a comparable price to S22 Ultra which you can find for 1350€. 60hz 6,7 inch display is insane, they should've put at least 90hz display. I understand that it has one of the best chipsets out there, display and battery life but it's insanely high price. I'm not a huge fan of Samsung but between 14 Plus and S22 Ultra, i would for sure pick Samsung in any way.

I'm sorry, i can't justify this in any way. 1300€ for a phone that has 60hz is insane, whether it's an iPhone or an android (you don't have an android priced at that point that has 60hz in past 2 years so..) I understand that it has the most powerful chipset, one of the best display out there and probably the best battery life but they could've at least put 90hz on 6,7 inch device. The hell i'm talking about, it's not justifable at all for 1300€. At that point, i would just go for Galaxy S series since the price difference between 14 Plus and 14 Pro Max is 500€+.

But sometimes big numbers do affect performance whether it's an iPhone or any other phone. example the 120 hz Pro motion display on the Pro. It's something that definitely improves experience. Apple would'nt have put that otherwise. As for the RAM, it's debatable how that humongous 12 gb helps in daily tasks but yea specs and figures can be helpful at times

The 14 Plus is the worst buy ever. It's Apple way of reaping your money selling you a "new phone" with last years tech. You'll have 2 hours to think about it when you wait for your €1200 phone to fully charge and can use the super duper uber chip ;)
